Falafel is one of the tastiest, easy cooking and quick to resort to fast food options of the Middle East World. Its usually served along with Pita Breads and Hummus or Tahini. This is the go-to evening quick food option to many people staying in the Middle East. The parity it draws from multiple Indian dishes is what made me try this cooking at home. So read on to explore and experiment with it.

Ingredients:
A cup of overnight soaked Chickpeas.
7-8 Garlic cloves peeled.
An Inch of Ginger.
2-3 Green Chillies.
A Lemon.
A bundle of fresh Coriander Leaves.
1/2 Cup of White Sesame Seeds.
1 Tablespoon Salt.
Oil or Butter to cook.
How to Prepare:
First, strain the soaked chickpeas in a colander and let me dry for 30-40 minutes.
Once dried, take a mixer jar and pour in all the chickpeas.
Add garlic, ginger, coriander, green chilies to it. Run the mixer to form a smooth paste.
Once the mix is ready, take it out in a glass bowl and let it rest for 10-15 minutes.
Put in salt to it and mix well.
Add sesame seeds and fold the batter. Remember, the secret ingredient here is the sesame seeds which give the crunchy and middle eastern taste to the entire Falafels. So don't miss it.
Let the mix rest for another 15-20 minutes.
For the cooking, you can either fry, semi fry, or bake it in the oven. It depends on your health preferences.
Make small balls of the mix. Roll it using some oil on the hands.
Refrigerate the Falafel balls for 20-30 minutes and then directly put in under hot oil for the frying. If you wish to bake it, grease the baking plate and bake the falafel shots at convection mode for 30-40 minutes.
Serve the Falafel shots along with Tahini and Pita bread to get the true flavour of the Middle East at your home.
Happy Falafels!!
