Hello people! It has been long since I posted a recipe. So here I am, with a new and healthy recipe. This time it is PCOD friendly guilt free dessert. It's made of flax seeds. Flax seeds are high in antioxidants and improve your hair as well as skin. What best can be than having this fully energy loaded laddoos in the mid of cozy winters.
Ingredients:
Half a cup of sesame seeds.
A cup of flax seeds.
Half a cup of almonds.
A cup of powdered jaggery.
A tablespoon of ghee.
How to make it?
Take a pan and dry roast the half a cup of sesame seeds in it. Roast on low flame till the seeds start popping. Once they do, remove the seeds into a plate.
Then take the cup of flax seeds into the pan and dry roast them. Roast of medium flame till the seeds start popping and change their colour to light brown. Once done, add these seeds to the same plate with the roasted sesame seeds and mix both the seeds. Let them cool down.
Take the empty pan and put in the almonds and let them roast till golden brown. Once done, add this to the plate containing the seeds.
Take a chutney grinder and grind all these three things (roasted flax seeds + roasted sesame seeds + almonds) to a coarse mixture. Keep this mixture aside.
Now take another pan and put in one-fourth cup of water into it. To this water, add one cup of powdered jaggery and mix well. Keep this mixture on medium flame and keep stirring. Once the jaggery completely melts, then take this pan off the stove and strain it using a strainer to remove any impurities in the jaggery.
Now add this jaggery water into the pan and bring the water to boil. To this water, add a pinch of cardomom powder. Keep stirring the mixture and bring it to boil to have one string consistency.
Once the jaggery mixture (one string chashni) is ready, put the seeds' coarse mixture into it and mix well to form a tight dough. Remove the pan from flame ,add a spoon of ghee to it and keep mixing it till it gets to temperature that is touchable warm.
Take this mixture and start making laddoos out of it.
Try these laddoos to cater to the sweet tooth cravings in winter. As per nutritionists, flax seeds are the best of all the seeds for weight loss, taking care of hormonal imbalances and taking care of the body overall.
